The Pedersoli® Hawken Hunter .50 Cal Percussion Rifle is specifically designed for serious muzzleloader hunters. Sticking with the timeless Hawken rifle design Pedersoli® has added a few modern features to the Hawken Hunter rifle to make it a truly great hunting rifle. The stock is crafted from beautiful American walnut and is protected by a satin finish to keep the gun functional and looking great. The end of the American walnut stock is covered by a microcell thick butt plat that is designed to absorb recoil transferring less felt recoil to the shooter’s shoulder. Another modern innovation is the fiberglass ramrod, while many traditional style Hawken rifles feature a more fragile wooden ramrod the Pedersoli Hawken Hunter comes equipped with a durable fiberglass ramrod for loading and cleaning. With a fiberglass ramrod, you don’t have to worry about snapping the ramrod while out in the field giving you one less thing to worry about that would otherwise distract you from the hunt. 

Pedersoli® has equipped the Hawken Hunter rifle with a ghost ring aperture sight on the tang and a blade sight on the front of the gun. This sight assembly allows the user to line up on their target with much greater speed and precision, ensuring a more accurate shot when it matters most. The rear ghost sight is fully adjustable for elevation and windage and can be easily sighted in at the range. The excellent sight system perfectly compliments the barrels 1:24 twist rate that allows for much greater accuracy than typically found on traditional Hawken rifles. The 1:24 twist rate allows the user shoot conical bullets that are typically only used in modern inline muzzleloaders including sabots, full bore conicals and belted conical bullets. With these great innovations, the Pedersoli Hawken Hunter rifle performs like a modern rifle while offering the user an authentic traditional hunting experience.

Adding to the great features already listed is a crisp trigger assembly. The Pedersoli® Hawken Hunter features a perfectly crafted double set trigger system that allows the user to have two different trigger pulls. The front trigger naturally pulls crisp and smooth with very little or no creep and can be made into a hair-trigger by pulling the set trigger just behind the main trigger. Once the hammer is locked back into the firing position the front trigger will engage the hammer at standard pull or if you first pull the set trigger the front trigger will go off with just a gentle squeeze. In either operation mode, the trigger assembly is incredibly crisp allowing for clean accurate shots over and over again. Rounding out the rifle is a well balanced 28 3/8″ blued octagon barrel that is built for durability and precision. The rifle’s overall length measures 44 1/4″ and is a great size for hunters of all experience levels. When it comes to a traditional hunting rifle the Pedersoli® Hawken Hunter .50 Cal.
